Heliospheric Radio Emissions

The following images show frequency-time spectrograms of heliospheric radio emissions as detected by the Voyager PWS high-rate waveform receiver. Click on the thumb-nail image or caption for a full resolution (1024x768) GIF image.

Voyager-1 1982 - 2019

Voyager-2 1982 - 2001

Note that beginning around day 140 of 2001, the Voyager 2 wideband receiver began exhibiting degraded performance. This degradation has continued and we have little hope that the situation will improve. Data received after this time is complicated by artifacts of the degradation and decreasing sensitivity, hence, we have chosen to not include the degraded data in this spectrogram.
