XVIS is written in IDL and is therefore only usable on the Alpha
cluster. HOST and DISPLAY choices are important since it uses heavy
I/O and graphic bandwidth. The script below seems to provide the
best response but other configurations are possible. Execute the
following commands once you have logged onto an Alpha:
- Set Host Eiger
- Setup IDL
- Set Display /Create /Node = yournode
- IDL
