The IDL software to view the VIS images in the CDF can be retrieved
via the world wide web from
http://eiger.physics.uiowa.edu/~vis/software/. You will need to
unzip the file using appropriate software for your operating system.
This will produce the two files named xvis.pro and
flatfield.dat. The xvis.pro file is an IDL source code
file while the flatfield.dat file is an IDL binary file created
using the IDL SAVE procedure. The software has been extensively tested
on an SGI 02 running IRIX 6.3 and on a DEC Alpha running
OpenVMS v6.2. The program has been written to avoid system dependencies
but has not been tested on a wide variety of platforms. If you have
