TRACERS - Magnetic Search Coil (MSC)

Each TRACERS spacecraft carries an MSC instrument for measuring magnetic field oscilations from 2 Hz upto 1.024 kHz.  MSC compliments EFI (Electric Field Instrument) as thier combined measuremenst are able to distinguish electromagnetic and electrostatic waves in Earth's Magnetosphere.  The MSCs are pure analog sensors and have no digital sampling electronic of thier it's own, but rather thier output is measured by ADCs (Analog to Digital Converters) on the EFI digital boards.
