  21. The Sun: Man's Friend and Foe Web Site, September 1998. An educational Web site developed by students from Alaska, New York, and India, as an entry in the Think Quest international contest for teams of students from ages 12-19 to develop Web sites in order to encourage the improvement of education through the use of technology. The University of Iowa audio interpretations of data collected by Polar spacecraft instrumentation is included as one of many sources used in this entry in the science and mathematics area of the contest. The University of Iowa provided a recording of audio interpretations of data collected from the Earth's magnetosphere by Polar spacecraft instrumentation.   78. Exploring Saturn and Mars, Iowa State Fair, Des Moines, Iowa, August 12-22, 2004. Main gate attendance totaled more than one million people. The Iowa State Fair was (a) recognized twice as Iowa's Tourism Event of the Year; (b) named in 2004 USA Weekend Magazine's number two place that Americans go to have fun; and (c) in June 2004 Esquire magazine as the "best state fair" in its list of "15 superlative things to experience before Labor Day." Although Cassini, Mars Express, and Mars Rovers were featured in one segment of the exhibit, another portion of the exhibit included information on all U. of Iowa space research projects (including Polar) and also about student research opportunities in physics and astronomy.
