HAARP OPERATIONS
The following are the times when WBD carried out joint operations with the HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program) facility located in Alaska. During these times, HAARP antennas were radiating up to 3.6 megawatts at distinct frequencies into the ionosphere while WBD was crossing field lines connected to the region being probed. The goal was to detect waves associated with HAARP's modulated heating of the lower ionosphere. At least two publications resulted from these operations (see the Publications list on the WBD website).

IMAGE/RPI OPERATIONS
Below are the times associated with joint operations between Cluster WBD and the Radio Plasma Imager (RPI) on the IMAGE spacecraft. RPI was used to transmit signals at frequencies above 125 kHz to the Cluster spacecraft where the WBD instrument would be able to pick up the signals. These experiments were used to test and verify the capabilities of radio tomography, specifically focused on measuring the plasma-induced roatation of the wave polarization (Faraday rotation). At least one paper was written on the success of these experiments (see Publications on this Website).

WHISPER MUTUAL IMPEDANCE TEST
The following times are when WBD data were obtained during Mutual Impedance Tests being carried out by the Whisper instrument. The WBD data were used to evaluate the results from those tests. See Beghin et al., Radio, Science, 2005.
