The Iowa State Fair was (a) recognized twice as Iowa's Tourism Event of the Year; (b) named in 2004 USA Weekend Magazine's number two place that Americans go to have fun; and (c) in June 2004 Esquire magazine as the "best state fair" in its list of "15 superlative things to experience before Labor Day." Although Cassini, Mars Express, and Mars Rovers were featured in one segment of the exhibit, another portion of the exhibit included information on all U. of Iowa space research projects (including Cluster) and also student research opportunities.
